By using SeeGeo you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the service.
What is SeeGeo?
SeeGeo analyses how a website appears to search engines and to AI answer engines. It fetches publicly available pages, evaluates them against a set of published checks, and returns a report with a score and specific recommendations. Some features can also query AI assistants with prompts you choose, to record how they describe a business.
The service is currently offered free of charge and without an account. If that changes, the terms will change with it and the date above will move.
What may you audit?
Only sites you own, operate, or have permission to analyse. This is the most important rule here.
Auditing a site causes us to send roughly seventeen requests to it from our infrastructure, on your instruction. Using SeeGeo to load a site you have no relationship with — repeatedly, at volume, or to burden it — is prohibited.
You also agree not to:
- Use the service to attack, overload, or disrupt any website
- Attempt to bypass logins, paywalls, or bot protection on an audited site
- Automate or script the audit form beyond ordinary personal use
- Resell or white-label reports without our written permission
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or replicate the service itself
We may rate-limit, block, or refuse any request that looks like abuse, and we may do so without notice where a third-party site is at risk.
What don't we promise?
Quite a lot, and we'd rather say so plainly than bury it.
No guarantee of results. Nothing in a SeeGeo report promises improved rankings, AI citations, traffic, or revenue. Search engines and AI assistants decide what to show, and neither we nor anyone else controls those decisions.
Our scores are informed opinion. They reflect published research and practitioner consensus, weighted by our own judgment. They are not an official measure, not endorsed by Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, or anyone else, and a different tool will legitimately score the same site differently.
GEO is a young discipline. Generative engine optimization rests on a small research base — principally the Princeton study presented at KDD 2024 — and on practices that are still being tested. We tell you this in the reports too. Any service claiming guaranteed AI rankings is overselling; that includes us if we ever do it.
AI answers vary between runs. Where the service records how an AI describes a business, those results are non-deterministic. A single reading is a snapshot, not a measurement, and we present trends for exactly that reason.
Our checks are partly heuristic. Some findings are inferred from signals rather than proven — we mark those in the report where they occur. Always verify before acting on something consequential.
Who owns what?
Your content stays yours. Domains, project details, and prompts you enter remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to fetch the sites you submit and to store and display the resulting reports back to you.
Reports are yours to use. Use them internally, share them with clients, act on them. Reselling SeeGeo reports as a product in their own right needs our written permission.
The service is ours. The software, checks, scoring model, written content, and brand remain SeeGeo's property.
Shared links are public. If you share a report, anyone with the link can read it, and it can be forwarded beyond whoever you sent it to. You can revoke sharing at any time, but you cannot un-see what someone has already read.
Availability
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, and because there are no accounts, we may not be able to notify you first.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SeeGeo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service — including decisions made on the basis of a report.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Your responsibility to third parties
You are responsible for the domains you submit. If auditing a site you had no right to audit causes a complaint or a claim, that responsibility is yours, and you agree to indemnify us against costs we incur as a result.
Ending your use
Stop using the service at any time; that's the whole process. To have stored reports deleted, email us — see the privacy policy.
We may suspend access where these terms are breached, particularly where a third-party website is being harmed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. Nothing in this section removes consumer protections you have where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be described on this page rather than applied silently. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I audit a competitor's website? No. SeeGeo may only be used on sites you own, operate, or have permission to analyse. Auditing sends requests to that site from our infrastructure on your instruction, and using it to burden a site you have no relationship with is prohibited.
Does SeeGeo guarantee better rankings or AI citations? No. Nothing in a report promises rankings, citations, traffic, or revenue. Search engines and AI assistants decide what to show, and no tool controls those decisions. Any service promising guaranteed AI rankings is overselling.
Is a SeeGeo score an official measure? No. It reflects published research and practitioner consensus weighted by our own judgment. It isn't endorsed by Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Perplexity, and other tools will legitimately score the same site differently.
Who can see a report I share? Anyone with the link, and anyone they forward it to. Sharing is off by default and can be revoked at any time, but revoking doesn't retract what someone has already read.
Do I own the reports SeeGeo produces? Yes — use them internally or with clients. Reselling SeeGeo reports as a product in their own right requires our written permission.
What happens if SeeGeo shuts down or changes? The service is provided as-is and as-available, and we may change or discontinue it. Since there are no accounts, we may be unable to notify you in advance — export anything you need to keep.
